RE: Toilet Riser or ADA Height Compliant?

I use one of those framed toilet risers (Aluminum Commode) that can be used as a potty chair, I Have one at home and liked it so well i got one for our TT you can find them at Salvation Army or Goodwills or even second hand stores for around 20 dollars as compared to almost 90 in Home Care stores. Look for the ones with the bucket that also converts to just a riser with the sleeve and also the hand supports and 4 legs here is a link the height is ajustable

RE: RV Stolen From Forest River - help please

Are you telling us that the police cannot find somthing the size of a fifthwheel camper, They must not be looking hard enough. there are only a few places you can hide one like flood devastated areas. will spread the word around to rv dealers in this area.

RE: Travel Trailer Inspection

Having your TT or Fiver inspected is a safety thing! For those of you that refuse to have it done it will only take one accident caused by a unsafe item on your TT for you to change your mind about having it done.
On our first TT it had a up to date sticker when we bought it with 2 mths left on sticker. Were I store my TT is also a RV service center,we were getting ready to take a 120 mile trip with the TT so after thinking about it. I called Joe and asked him to go ahead and inspect it. He called a few day later and informed me that the TT had a fractured spring hanger! I was glad to have him inspect it then to wait till the sticker expired or just let it go without having it done! I do have inspection done every year as required

RE: weight limits for entry steps and furniture

Have her go to a RV dealer and have her inter several RV's similar to yours sort of a test run. If she will not fit you won't have to tell her anything

RE: Windows XP pop-up adds

Your problem is you are infected with (Adware Virus) If you know what to look for you can find it,but if not here is what you need to do. First remove the spyware nproigram you have is is a port opener. Like opening the door for your cat to come in sure enough a fly will follow! Then Download AD-Aware by Lava Soft, http://www.lavasoft.com/
there is a free version but the AdAware plus is better Also download Avast home version its not as big as AVG but works better.
I have been installing both programs on my customers PC's and laptops for 8 years and know one has reported any problems. By the way I am a IT graduate for computers. doing system restore will only work until you connet to the internet, then you will have the sme problems. once you download AdAware and avast and have them both registerd. You must disable your internet conection so the programs can find the problems. Once they are found and deleted then reconnect to the internet and download from (Ashampoo) Win Optimiser (free for 30-45 days), this program will keep your system clean of errors and unwanted cookies and internet traces. If you decide to purchase Win Optimiser wait untill the last week of testing they will offer the program to you for yp to 45% off!
Good Luck

RE: Computer won't power on ? ! ? ! ?

Safe mode won't do it since you can get on line go to Tiger Direct.com and order a power supply. I can tell you how to jump start it but you need a second working PC to do it, just like jumping a car. anyway get at least a 400watt power supply takes about 3 days to get it or go to a Circut City or Staples to get one, You will pay more for it but it will be a same day repair

RE: Power-Antivirus-2009

Try Avast home edition my I T college uses it. I have been using it for 8 years no problem! Its a free antivirus program, to renew it each year just verify your email address. I have installed it on over a hundred systems much better than norton, runs in background does not use a lot of memory or disk space, another note windows one care is problematic it does not play well with other anti virus programs it must me disabled and or deleted to use Avast or other virus protect programs

RE: What is the best campground in Gettsyburg?

I think Granitehill CG on Rt 116 down from CGettysburg Cg would be the best choice with kids. They have a great game room.swimming pool and also a awsome put-put golf mountain! Also about a mile out from Gettysburg before you get to Gettysburg CG on the left you will see firewood for sale by the wheel borrow load for 5 bucks or small utility trailer load for 20 dollars

RE: Service Dogs

FedExman, I have the same type problem as you but mine is due to a spine injury. I have a German Rottweiler Service dog. He helps me to steady myself if I have to go down on one knee. If there is no furniture close enough to use to get back up. Also he helps me to steady myself if I need to pick something off the floor. Because of his strength and size he has been a life saver. As far as camping with him we did have to get a larger TT with a slide this year, our old TT was a 19 ft without a slide, in it we always had to tell him to move. Anyway when I Take him to campgrounds so far there has been no issues. I do carry a Service dog ID from the ADA and also have a perscription from my doctor for a Service Dog as well as as his vest that he wears. So know one can deny me of having him. He also is 7 years old and I did not get him from a agency. I have had him for 4yrs now,and after the first month with him he began to notice my disability and would stay close to me. So I began to train him for my needs. If you have any questions or concerns feel free to email me.

RE: trailer towing with Hemi

Have about the same size TT you are interested in. The Ram will handle it no problem just make sure you get the Dual cam sway,I have a Keystone Hornet that is 31.5' and has 745 tongue weight. Also I have test towed a Keystone VR1 305FKS (L) 33' (W) 7120 with a 960 hitch weight, truck did well with highway conditions and with mountain roads. Note it was set up at dealer with WD system. for the test

Should they be towing a Camper

Went to my to do some work on my TT Tuseday were I store it, which is also a RV service Center. Went in to talk to my service guy about some things with my TT. In his bay was a Truck with a about a 25 ft Wilderness TT on it. I asked him about the unit in his shop and he said this is the second one in two days. I asked him what did he mean. He said the owner on this unit called him and said he was having problems with the brakes on the TT and also to check the tires because the TT had swaying issues. He told the owner to bring the truck in as well as the TT so he could check the brake controller. He said when the owner arrived he explained that the TT felt like it was pushing him, the mechanic opened the truck door to check his brake controller but could not find it. He asked the owner were he had it the guy told him it was the little button on the end of his gear shift! Then the guy explained it did not seem to work on slowing the camper all the time! The mechanic then explained to him that was the tow/haul button and that was used to control the transmisson during towing or hauling. The guy then exclaimed I thought that was the brakes for the TT.The mechanic then notice there was no WD or sway control on the TT the guy had it on the trucks bumper. Truck was a early 90's Chevy 1500 extended cab. 4x4. Any way the owner explain to the mechanic to check the campers tires because when it started to sway and he would pull up on the shift lever but the sway would not go away all the time only when he slowed!!!!!. He then explained to the guy pulling on his shift lever does nothing, but slowing down will help. The mechanic then explain to him what a WD system was and how it worked. The guy could not afford a new one but the mechanic had a used Reese dual cam WD from a upgrade he did for another customer. So he set the guy up and had everthing set up for him safely.
The other customer he told me about was pulling a 33' Rockwood and thought it had brake problems. The mechanic asked the owner if he had a brake controller and the guy said it was built in to his truck so when he put his foot on the brakes the trailer brakes would operate. The mechanic was puzzled and had the guy bring his rig in. The truck was a 2006 Chevy 2500 duramax > the mechanic then explained to the guy that his truck does not have a built in controller , but he needed to get one. He then explained to the guy the different brands and showed one to him and then the guy said there is some wires in his glove box that looked like the ones that was with the controllers in the box. The mechanic told him thats what the wires are for, and the guy did buy a Prodigy!
Then Thursday while we were out shopping I was sitting at a traffic light and I was admiring a 69 Cuda, when DW went oh my god look at that! I look ahead to the on coming traffic and there was a 2004 Ram QCab 4x4 pulling what look to be a 33' TT and the rear bumper of the truck was almost dragging the road and the TT was nose down as well. When my light turned green I drove by the rig slow and there was "NO" WD or Sway control on the TT at all If it wasn't for the grill and the bikes in the truck I would not had been so nervous about it. How can they be so dangerous with their families and others on the roads

nascar Golfcarts

What's with you people and these golfcarts you and your children race them around campgrounds like you are participating in a nascar race! Why can't you slow down and drive sensibly and not race them thru campgrounds saw one 2 seater cart this weekend with 9 people on it, two older males, women and teens and small children and the driver was speeding down hill Is there some unknown competition to see how many people you can get on a cart before you injure them, or like nascar are they your pit crew and the ones still kinda walking will pull you out of someones camper or assist you into lifting it off a child!!!!
